Teddy Bears' Picnic For babies to five year olds. 11.00 am - 1.00pm. Tuesday 27th July - Ellastone Village Hall Wednesday 28th July - St John Ambulance Hall Wednesday 4th August - St John Ambulance Hall Wednesday 11th August - St John Ambulance Hall. Music - Singing - Dancing - Picnic Bring a bear and some sandwiches and join in the fun to a 45 minute music session followed by a picnic designed for 0-5 year olds. Sometimes he has to try and get her to go to bed. This is a hard job because Lola likes to stay up late. Charlie tries everything, from making three tigers pink milk to shooing whales down plugholes. This book is fantastic for 2 - 5 year olds, but at first glance I wasn't that impressesed. Its distinctive illustrations took a little getting used to. Lauren Child employs a mixture of textiles, photos, drawings and computer artwork. After reading the book a couple of times though, the pictures seem just perfect. The proof of any book is does its audience enjoy it? And my two-year-old loves it. As it ends with Lola going to bed it's an ideal bedtime read.
